As Enter The Woods started out as a LARP plot it is written in an Episodic fashion, released in chunks which would correspond to LARP mods (mini-stories that support a larger overarching plot). They can be read separately, to an extent, as each adventure has a beginning, a middle, and an end, though if you do read like this and out of order there may be some details that are referred to from other Parts in the one you are reading.
Now, since this is written like a story and not a series of shorts you won’t get scene or character descriptions at the start of every Part – it just doesn’t read right to start Chapter 13 establishing all of this when it was done in Chapter 1. Just like in a standard book if a new character comes in or the characters enter a new location those will get described, but if you want to know what Leo’s Pub looks like or the establishing awesomeness of Siobhan you’ll need to refer back to Chapter 1. I hope that works. It didn’t work any other way in my brain.
Because there is an overarching plot it really is best to read Part 1 -> but just like some players come into a story late because they didn’t get hooked or they hadn’t started playing yet, it is possible to jump in late so I decided to clarify where each Part begins and ends.
